Jeep Dealerships Recommend Regular Tune-Ups

Monday, September 29th, 2008

Whether you drive a Jeep Grand Cherokee, a Wrangler, or another model, your Jeep dealerships know that you need to get a regular tune-up.

There are several different steps to a tune-up. Each step serves to help your vehicle keep running smoothly, help your Jeep’s engine last longer, and to increase your gas mileage.

  • Here are some of the things involved in a tune-up:
  • Checking of all fluids, and topping off any that are low
  • Replacing the fuel filter
  • Changing the spark plugs
  • Switching out your air filter
  • Adjusting valves
  • Replacing valve-cover gaskets
  • Changing out your spark plug wires
  • Checking other systems
  • Cleaning the throttle plate on the fuel injected vehicles
  • Inspecting your vehicle.

The mechanic will look at the condition of your tires, check your air conditioning and heating, and look at your brakes and brake fluid. Several other parts will probably be looked at, including the timing of your vehicle, the PCV valve, the distributor cap and rotor, the oxygen sensor, and the carburetor.

Usually, you only need to get a tune-up about once a year or so. If you’re comfortable under the hood and under the chassis of your Jeep, you may not need to take your Jeep to the Jeep dealer for a tune-up, and may even be able to give your car a tune-up yourself.

Hyundai Dealer Provides Value, According To Study

Monday, September 29th, 2008

Your Hyundai dealer knows that there’s one thing that you’re looking for in your car choice above all else, and that is value. The good news is that Hyundai, as a brand, continues to make gains in brand value worldwide.

An annual survey by Best Global brands has shown that, in every year since 2005 when they began studying brand value, Hyundai has grown at a steady pase. Hyundai ranked eighth in the globe when it comes to auto makers, ahead of many other brands including Nissan, Porsche, and Lexus. The largest gains Hyundai made were in India, Korea, Russia, and Brazil.

Hyundai has worked continuously to improve the design and the quality of their vehicles. This has provided them with the kind of momentum they have needed, as a global company, to grow their brand.

There has been a steady increase in both sales and in confidence among buyers, as well as among Hyundai dealers.

Brand management is a top priority at Hyundai. Brand management considerations influence decision-making at all levels of the organization, from styling and marketing to communications, retail and after-sales service.

If you’re in the market for a new car, no one can provide you with the same kind of value that we can right here at your local Hyundai dealer.

When To Visit Your New Jersey Dealership

Friday, September 26th, 2008

If you’re like most people, you aren’t going to visit your New Jersey dealership every year or two to buy a new car. You want to get the most you can out of your current vehicle, and don’t want the hassle of new car buying until you need it. If that’s you, there are some sure-fire ways to tell when your current vehicle is ready to be retired, and it’s time to visit your Hyundai dealer.

One way to know for sure it’s time for a new car is when your car needs repairs that cost more than the car is worth. If your car’s transmission goes out and the car isn’t under warranty, you can expect to pay as much as $3,000 to get a new transmission.

Another reason to consider a new car is gasoline prices. As gas prices rise, it becomes less economical to drive certain vehicles. If you drive a large car that gets 13 miles to the gallon, you might consider a smaller, more fuel efficient Hyundai.

If your family outgrows a car, it may be time to consider a new one, too. Maybe your children are grown and don’t fit in the back seat anymore. Maybe you have another child, and don’t have enough seats. Maybe your children all move out, and you don’t need such a large car. Fitting a car to your lifestyle is one of the major reasons to consider a new car.

At your local New Jersey dealership, we’re here for you. When the time is right, come check out all we have to offer.

When To Get An Alignment At Your New Jersey Dealership

Friday, September 26th, 2008

If you want your car to last, you’re going to have to take your car in to your Chevrolet dealer on a regular basis to have it serviced. Oil changes, tires, brakes, and all sorts of other service keep your vehicle running in tip-top shape.

From time to time, you’re going to need an alignment from your New Jersey dealership. Your wheels need to be parallel, and your tires need to hit the road in a specific way. An alignment is the process that your mechanic uses to get our wheels back into the position they belong in.

Why is an alignment necessary? The fact of the matter is that the driving process causes your wheels to get out of place, a little bit at a time. Everything from general wear and tear to driving on rough roads and hitting potholes will contribute to this shift in your wheels. Over time, they become more and more misaligned.

If your car begins to pull one direction or another when you’re driving on a straight road, it’s time to get an alignment. While there are other things, of course, that can cause your vehicle to start to pull in one direction or another, an alignment is a common cause.

Another sign that you may need an alignment is uneven wear on your tires. If your tire tread is frayed or stripped, or if it shows wear on one side and not the other, it can mean that you need an alignment.

The good news is that an alignment generally isn’t very expensive. You can usually get an alignment for well under $100, depending on the make and model of your vehicle.

Advice For Customizing Your New NJ Car

Friday, September 26th, 2008

Jeep owners love to customize their vehicles. The Jeep is a very personal vehicle, and Jeep owners typically have a very specific vision for their vehicle. Here are some ideas about some things you might consider for your Jeep:

  • Aftermarket bumpers. You can get an aftermarket bumper for your Jeep that will have a hitch on it. If you do, make sure to get the hitch that its towing rated.
  • Bigger tires. Big tires are one of the most common modifications that people make to their new Jeep. Make sure you make any recommended changes to your suspension system, however, before you put on larger tires. Also, be aware that larger tires will affect your horsepower.
  • An alignment cam. The alignment cam is a relatively inexpensive customization that has a decent return on investment.
  • Decals or a custom paint job. Many Jeep enthusiasts like to make their Jeep unique and recognizable, and this is one of the best ways to do that.

For more ideas about how you can customize your new NJ car, consider visiting 4wd.com and request a catalog. There free, and have many options, plus lots of pics of other rigs. It will start to give you ideas, and price ranges.

Corvette ZR1 Coming Back To Chevrolet Dealer

Wednesday, September 24th, 2008

After a long wait, the Corvette ZR1 is about to be back at your Chevrolet dealer. It’s been a long time coming, but everything suggests that it will have been worth the wait.

During its initial production during the 1990s the Corvette ZR1, was hailed as one of the most powerful, stylish, and sleek Corvettes ever. The ZR1 remains the favorite Corvette of many enthusiasts, as well.

One of the most interesting things about the new Corvette ZR1 is that it wasn’t developed by a squad of thousands of engineers. This car was designed by a small team. The team were enthusiastic fans of the Corvette, who worked on the design for several years. After all of that time and hard work, the team’s efforts have finally paid off with the release of the 2009 Corvette ZR1.

Not only is the ZR1 coming back, it’s coming back with a vengeance. The new Corvette ZR1 sets a much higher benchmark when it comes to Corvette performance. It features a 6.2 liter V8 engine with an Eaton TVS Supercharger, as well as intercooler. The 638 horsepower LS9 supercharged engine produces 604 lb.-ft of torque. On the test track, the new ZR1 reached speeds in excess of 200 miles per hour.

The ZR1 isn’t just about power and performance, however. The 2009 Corvette ZR1 has plenty of style, too. It has a front air splitter, carbon fiber roof, domed hood, and dual cove front fenders. It even has a window to the supercharger in the hood. It also features 19 inch front wheels, and 20 inch rear wheels.

Inside the Corvette ZR1, you’ll find the latest in technology and style, too. There is a boost gauge in cluster, and there’s also a Heads-Up Display included. The 4LZ package includes a custom leather-wrapped interior.

Hyundai Dealer Offers Car Buying Advice

Wednesday, September 24th, 2008

Your local Hyundai dealer wants your car buying experience to be a positive one. We know how stressful buying a new car can be, and these few simple tips can help make the experience more successful, and help you get the right car for you at the right price.

Know what you want

Walk onto the lot knowing the type of car you need. If you need seven seats, say so. If you want excellent gas mileage, say that too. Prioritize your wants and needs so that you can find the right car.

Avoid distractions

If possible, leave family and friends at home when you’re car shopping. With the kids in tow, you can often find yourself in a situation where they’re trying to talk you into a car you don’t want because they like the car. Bring someone with you if you wish to help negotiate or to help you determine the quality of the vehicle, but don’t be pressured into buying a car you don’t want by a family member or a friend.

Don’t be in a rush

Remember that you can always come back, or go to another dealer. If you don’t like a vehicle, feel like a salesperson is too pushy, or can’t find the right car, you can leave. Don’t feel as though you must buy a car right then and there. If the problem is with an employee, report the problem to the sales manager at another time or on the telephone.

New Jersey Dealership Celebrates Old Jeeps

Wednesday, September 24th, 2008

There’s nothing quite like getting a brand new Jeep from your New Jersey dealership. A new Jeep can be invigorating, and opens up all sorts of new possibilities, from off road activities to Jeep owners’ clubs.

New isn’t always better, however. For Gary Oswald of Beaverton, Oregon, it wasn’t a new Jeep that was so appealing; it was an old Jeep.A very old jeep.

According to The Oregonian, Gary Oswald was diagnosed with colon cancer just a few years ago. Oswald wanted to own a Jeep, but he didn’t want to wind up with a huge restoration project.

Oswald didn’t want just any Jeep, though; he wanted a real Jeep. What he found was an authentic World War II era Jeep. The olive drab jeep was originally assigned to an Army training center in Oregon, and the vehicle is now almost 70 years old.

The Jeep was complete when Oswald bought it. He has added a few original items to the Jeep since that time, to add to its authenticity.

Oswald, who calls himself a “Jeep Snob,” points out that a true enthusiast of the Jeep can tell you which Jeep was put out when. He’ll see a Jeep in a movie, for example, and be able to determine if that Jeep is the correct one for the era.

More On The Volt From Your Chevy Dealership

Monday, September 22nd, 2008

The Chevy Volt is probably the one car that people just can’t wait to see at their local Chevy dealership. This car has created a serious buzz among fans of Chevrolet, as well as enthusiasts throughout the automotive world. The Volt is expected to begin production by 2010, and promises to be a step forward in General Motors overall plan for environmentally friendly vehicles.

The Volt will have an electric motor that can be recharged in an outlet. It is expected that the Volt will be able to go as far as 40 miles from a single charge on a home electrical outlet. The Volt will used lithium ion batteries, which is the same sort of technology that’s used in laptop computer batteries. This technology is a true breakthrough when it comes to electric cars, and it is expected that future electric and hybrid cars will primarily use lithium ion batteries.

The lithium ion batteries used in the Chevy Volt will, initially, probably be produced outside of the United States. The subcomponents used in these batteries have long been produced in other places, and that expertise and manufacturing capability will be necessary to produce those batteries. The Volt will be assembled, however, at a plant outside of Detroit.
