New Jersey Dealership offers Gas-Saving Advice

Friday, October 31st, 2008

Your Hyunda dealer near Springfield knows that the rising cost of gas can be a real strain on your wallet. Most people can’t just sell their car or trade it in on a new hybrid vehicle. Fortunately, there are things you can do when you’re driving to save some gas and save some money at the pump.

One of the best ways to save gas is to plan your traveling. If you can, try to avoid driving during peak traffic hours. You can avoid some of the starting and stopping, thereby saving on gas.

You should try to use your cruise control when driving on the highway. Cruise control lets you keep a constant speed, which uses less gas than when your speed fluctuates.

Inflate your tires to the proper level. If your tires have to much air or not enough air, it will affect not only your car’s gas mileage but your safety, as well.

Make sure to keep current with maintenance. Get oil changes and tune ups when it’s time, and have your mechanic inspect your vehicle for mechanical problems from time to time.

If you are in the market for a new vehicle, come and see us at your New Jersey dealership near Springfield. We’ve got a new fuel efficient vehicle to meet your needs.

    Hyundai Dealership Examines Hyundai History

    Wednesday, October 29th, 2008

Your East Brunswick-area Hyundai dealer is excited to be associated with a company that has such a rich and varied history. While Hyundai in the United States has had its bumps in the road, the fact is that today’s Hyundai cars are known for their quality, reliability, and value.

Hyundai first appeared on the market in the United States in 1986. The Hyundai Excel, a subcompact car, was a market hit. It was one of the most affordable cars on the market at the time, and more than 100,000 Hyundai Excels were sold in the United States in the first seven months after its arrival.

Up until 1988, Hyundai cars had been developed in collaboration with other companies, such as Ford. Beginning in 1988 with the Hyundai Sonata, a midsize car, Hyundai began producing its own vehicles.

Hyundai’s image took a hit in the 1990s, with some believing that the vehicles weren’t reliable. Hyundai, rather than leaving the market, invested greatly in product improvements and new designs that would insure reliability.

That decision paid off. Today’s Hyundai vehicles are known for their reliability, as well as their performanc enad their quality. While Hyundai has a smaller fleet than other manufacturers, its purchase of Kia in 1998 expanded its offerings.

If you want a reliable vehicle at a price that won’t break the bank, visit your Hyundai dealership near East Brunswick.

New Jersey Dealership Suggests Winter Gear for your Jeep

    Wednesday, October 29th, 2008

Your Jeep dealership near Avenel wants you to have a safe and happy winter.

With winter coming, you’ll naturally want to prepare your Jeep by doing some maintenance such as putting on snow tires and checking coolant levels. In addition, there are some things you should put into your Jeep to help out in case of an emergency during the winter.

Here is a list of gear you should carry in your Jeep this winter:

    1. Load up some warming gear. This includes things like space blankets, sleeping bags, dry clothes, etc. At a minimum, you should have a blanket, hat and gloves. If you get stranded in the cold, your first priority will be to keep warm.
    2. Pack a jug of water. You don’t usually associate dehydration with winter, but it absolutely can happen. Bring some water with you and keep it near your body if you’re stranded to keep it from freezing. You can also bring a water filter or iodine tablets to make sure you’ll have potable water wherever you happen to be.
    3. Have a way to communicate. Whether it’s a cell phone or CB radio, make sure you have a way to get in touch with the outside world.
    4. Bring a flashlight. An LED flashlight will last you much longer than a traditional one. Extra batteries are a good idea, too.
    5. Carry some food. Granola bars or energy bars without chocolate are good choices.

Jeep Dealerships Want You To Prepare Your Jeep For Winter

    Monday, October 27th, 2008

Your Jeep dealer near Denville wants you to know that winter can be hard on your Jeep. Jeep vehicles are designed to go through all sorts of terrain in all sorts of weather. Still, as we approach the winter months, there are some things that you should do in order to get your Jeep in optimum shape for the cold and the snow.

Here are some maintenance activities you should do for your Jeep to prepare for winter:

    • Check your cooling system. If you’re not sure if you have the right mixture of water and antifreeze, drain and replace it. Snow driving is hard on your colling system.
    • Check your hoses for cracks, bulges or anything else odd. Replace hoses in doubt.
    • Get an oil change and lube job.
    • Check drivebelts to make sure they’re in good condition.
    • If you use winter tires, switch them out now. If not, check your tires and rotate them if necessary.
    • Lubricate all of yoru locks with a lock lubricant.
    • Spray the rubber on your jeep, such as that on the tailgate, liftgate and hood seals with a silicone spray to keep from being locked out.
    • Check all of your fluid levels and fill if necessary.
    • Check your brakes to make sure you can stop on those icy roads.
    • Apply dielectric grease to your electrical connections that will be exposed to the weather to help keep them from corroding.
    • Replace your windshield wiper fluid with winter fluid.

    Chevy Dealership Features Tahoe Hybrid

    Monday, October 27th, 2008

When you think about fuel efficient hybrid vehicles from your Chevy dealership, you probably don’t think “SUV.” However, your local Chevrolet Dealer near Union has just that: a hybrid SUV.

The Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid is the perfect vehicle for the person or family that needs the space of an SUV but doesn’t want to pay outrageous prices at the gas pump just to fill the tank. The Tahoe Hybrid gets 21 miles per gallon in the city and 22 miles per gallon on the highway. That’s no small feat for a vehicle of this size. It’s no surprise, then, that the Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid has just been named the Green Car of the Year by the Green Car Journal.

One of the biggest reasons that the Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid won this distinction is that it gets better mileage than any other V8. In fact, it is estimated that the Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid gets around 30 percent better mileage than other SUVs with a V8 engine. In addition, the high city gas mileage rating was a factor in the decision, as that 21 miles per gallon is an especially impressive figure.

Many prominent people are on the jury for the Green Car Journal. It includes Jay Leno, Carroll Shelby, as well as people from the Sierra Club, the Worldwatch Institute, the World Resources Institute, and the Ocean Futures Society.

If you’re looking for a powerful SUV that will also save you money at the pump, look no further than the 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid.

    Hyundai Dealership Considers Customized Genesis

    Monday, October 27th, 2008

While you won’t find it at your local Hyundai dealer, there’s a 2009 Hyundai Genesis out there that is customized and tweaked to be the ultimate hot machine.

This particular Hyundai Genesis was modified by RIDES for the SEMA motor show in Las Vegas. They added a custom bumper, a painted grill to give a more sport appearance, and customized three piece wheels from MHT. They also lowered the suspension, put on some smoked taillights and put on four exhaust pipes, all chrome tipped.

On the inside, there are even more modifications. The seats were given suede inserts. There are not just one but two Mini Macs in the vehicle with monitors installed in the back of the headrests in the front. There’s a MacBook Air that hangs from the ceiling, as well. There are two wireless keyboards in the back mounted in trays, and everything is Wi-Fi capable. There’s even a 20 inch Cinema monitor for tailgate parties.

While none of these amenities are optional equipment from your Hyundai dealer, you might be surprised with all of the wonderful surprises that come standard with the 2009 Hyundai Genesis. Come and see us at your Hyundai dealer and check one out today.
