New NJ Cars to have Higher Fuel Efficiency

Jeep fans will be happy to know that the new 2009 model year Jeeps at their Jeep dealer near Monmouth Junction will have better fuel economy than the previous models. It is estimated that the changes to fuel economy across the Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep brands will save around 6.7 million gallons of gas a year.

This added fuel economy is already winning awards. The 2009 Jeep Compass 4×4 and the 2009 Jeep Patriot 4×4 are the most fuel efficient four wheel drive vehicles in their class.

How is it that Jeep is gaining these fuel efficiency improvements? New technologies, including Front Axle Disconnect and Active Transfer case offer not only improved fuel economy but additional performance, safety and traction.

The Jeep Patriot is expected to go from 22 to 23 miles per gallon in the city and from 27 to 28 miles per gallon on the highway. The Grand Cherokee 4×2 will go from 13 to 14 in the city and 19 to 20 on the highway. The V6 version of the Grand Cherokee 4×4 will stay at 15 in the city but go from 19 to 20 on the highway. The V8 version of the Jeep Grand Cherokee will stay at 13 in the city but go from 18 to 19 on the highway. In addition to these, the Jeep Compass and the Jeep Commander will see increases in their fuel economy as well.

    Chevrolet Dealer Offers Value with Cobalt

    The Chevy Cobalt is the lowest cost compact coupe and sedan that you’ll find at your Elizabeth area Chevrolet dealer. The base price of the Chevy Cobalt is just $15,610, which is less than many vehicles in its class.

    The Cobalt with the XFE package features the best mileage of any Chevrolet vehicle of its size.     New Jersey Dealership Suggests Winter Gear for your Jeep

    With winter coming, you’ll naturally want to prepare your Jeep by doing some maintenance such as putting on snow tires and checking coolant levels. In addition, there are some things you should put into your Jeep to help out in case of an emergency during the winter.

    3. Have a way to communicate. Whether it’s a cell phone or CB radio, make sure you have a way to get in touch with the outside world.
    4. Bring a flashlight. An LED flashlight will last you much longer than a traditional one. Extra batteries are a good idea, too.
    5. Carry some food. Granola bars or energy bars without chocolate are good choices.

    Jeep Dealerships Want You To Prepare Your Jeep For Winter

    • Apply dielectric grease to your electrical connections that will be exposed to the weather to help keep them from corroding.
    • Replace your windshield wiper fluid with winter fluid.

    Chevy Dealership Features Tahoe Hybrid

    Hyundai Dealership Considers Customized Genesis

    While you won’t find it at your local Hyundai dealer, there’s a 2009 Hyundai Genesis out there that is customized and tweaked to be the ultimate hot machine.

    This particular Hyundai Genesis was modified by RIDES for the SEMA motor show in Las Vegas. They added a custom bumper, a painted grill to give a more sport appearance, and customized three piece wheels from MHT. They also lowered the suspension, put on some smoked taillights and put on four exhaust pipes, all chrome tipped.

    On the inside, there are even more modifications. The seats were given suede inserts. There are not just one but two Mini Macs in the vehicle with monitors installed in the back of the headrests in the front. There’s a MacBook Air that hangs from the ceiling, as well. There are two wireless keyboards in the back mounted in trays, and everything is Wi-Fi capable. There’s even a 20 inch Cinema monitor for tailgate parties.

    Fuel Effecient Off Road Jeep Coming To Jeep Dealerships

    It’s going to be a while before you see a new Jeep Renegade at your Jeep Dealerships, but it is truly going to be worth the weight.

    This concept car, which debuted at the auto show in Detroit in 2008, reckons back to the days of the Willys Jeep. The Renegade is a two-seater, lightweight, sporty vehicle that you can drive off road as well as you can on the street. The Renegade concept car features a cut-down windshield, doors with lower sections cut out, and plenty of fuel effecient features.

    Among the top of those features is the hybrid Bluetec Diesel engine underneath the hood. The Renegade relies on a lithium ion battery pack. The battery will be rechargable, and the Renegade will have the ability to be plugged into a standard outlet. The battery will get the vehicle 40 miles on electric power alone. The Renegade uses the same sort of regenerative braking that many other hybrids use, too.

    The Jeep Renegade will feature a lightweight aluminum skeleton, as well. It will operate a fully capable 4×4 system. There is a low range of gears and locking differentials.

    Like other Jeeps, you will be able to take the Renegade out onto the trails. You’ll just use a heck of a lot less gas doing it.
