Find Your New Hybrid at your New Jersey Dealership

Friday, November 21st, 2008

Your Chevrolet dealer near Bound Brook knows that you want to get the most value you can in a car, and at the gas pump. We also know that you don’t want to be stuck in a car that’s just way too small for your needs. While you might not need the biggest and best Chevrolet on the market, you need a midsize car that fits your style and has a comfortable ride.

If that fits you at all, you’re looking for the 2008 Chevrolet Malibu Hybrid. The 2008 Malibu has plenty of unique styling on the outside that will turn heads. It also gives you a quiet and comfortable ride on the inside. Best of all, though, the Chevrolet Malibu Hybrid gives you comfort at the gas pump with its excellent fuel economy.

One of the least expensive vehicles in its class, the Malibu hybrid can compete with the best hybrids out there in terms of style, value and performance. The Malibu gives you a luxurious feel, in spite of its reasonable price.

While the 2009 Chevrolet Malibu Hybrid may not get better fuel economy than the Toyota Prius, the Malibu Hybrid does get much better mileage than the standard version of the vehicle.

New Jersey Dealership Looking Forward to Santa Fe Blue Hybrid

Friday, November 21st, 2008

Your Springfield-area Hyundai dealer is excited about the Santa Fe Blue Hybrid. At the Paris Auto Show this year, Hyundai released the Hyundai Santa Fe Blue Hybrid concept car. This car shows Hyundai’s ability and commitment to reduce car emissions and increase fuel efficiency.

The “Blue Hybrid” moniker indicates that the vehicle is part of Hyundai’s fuel efficiency initiative. Hyundai has chosen to use the color “Blue” rather than “Green” to represent its fuel efficiency initiatives.

The vehicle will be the same as the regular Santa Fe in terms of its design. It’s the engine that will see the biggest changes for this model. It will use a parallel hybrid drive that combines an electric motor with the already-economical 2.4 liter Theta engine. It is expected that this parallel hybrid drive will be the basis of the future hybrid vehicles that Hyundai develops.

The good news is that performance in the Santa Fe Blue Hybrid isn’t compromised in order to achieve fuel economy. It is expected that the vehicle will achieve a similar top speed, as well as a similar 0 to 60 speed, as the non-hybrid version of the Santa Fe.

The Santa Fe Blue Hybrid is just one example of Hyundai’s commitment to a cleaner and more fuel efficient future.

Hyundai HED-5 i-Mode Concept Car and your Hyundai Dealership

Wednesday, November 19th, 2008

The 2008 LA Auto Show is proving to provide all sorts of interesting material to talk about at your East Brunswick area Hyundai dealer. One of the most exciting parts of the show was the unveiling of a new Hyundai concept car: the HED-5 i-Mode.

The HED-5 i-Mode is a six seat family crossover vehicle, and it features Hyundai’s first environmentally friendly, direct-injection powerplant. This 2.0 liter four cylinder engine is known as the Theta Turbo GDI, and it uses direct injection technology to improve fuel efficiency.

Direct injection technology works like this. The engine directs fuel directly into the cylinder. It does so in very precise and small volumes. This causes the engine’s performance to improve because of intake charge cooling. Because of this improved manner of internal combustion, exhaust emissions are reduced and fuel economy is increased.

What’s truly interesting about the Theta Turbo GDI is that it manages to produce plenty7 of power. The engine can produce as many as 286 hp, which is more than many of the six cylinder engines out there today. In addition, it uses CVVT (Continuously Variable Valve Timing) to add to its fuel economy.

The HED-5 i-Mode concept also features other new high-tech amenities, such as webcams, a wireless network, and a new “BayVision” glazing system for its headlight lenses.

Chevrolet Dealer Offers Engine Advice

Wednesday, November 19th, 2008

At your Elizabeth area Chevrolet dealer, we know you’re concerned about your car. Few things are unnerving, in terms of car maintenance, than seeing your “Service Engine Soon” light come on. This light can mean any number of things, some of which are simple and others of which can be disastrous.

In some cases, your Service Engine Soon light might come on when you don’t have much oil pressure. If your oil level is low, it may mean that you’ve got a leak or are burning oil. Adding oil will only solve the problem for a little while, however. You’ll need to get your car looked at, and soon, if you have an oil leak.

Your Service Engine Soon light can also mean that one of your car’s sensors is malfunctioning. It doesn’t reflect a mechanical problem with the vehicle, but rather with the sensor system. In most cases, it can be expensive to replace the sensors and it’s often worth it just to turn the sensor off.

Another simple problem that can cause your Service Engine Soon light to come on is a loose gas tank cap. If your Service Engine Soon light is on, try removing and then tightening your cap, and this may fix the problem.

In most cases, you should have a Service Engine Soon light checked out as soon as possible.

Winter Car Care Tips from your Chevy Dealership

Monday, November 17th, 2008

When you’re out this winter driving your car from your Chevrolet dealership near Union, there are some things you should be aware of. No matter whether you’re driving to visit relatives or just driving to work, keeping these things in mind will help your winter travel be safer and better all around.

Take, for example, snow removal. Everyone removes ice and snow from their windows in order to see. However, you should also take care to get the ice and snow off your roof and your hood. When there’s snow on your hood, it can break off, fly up and impact your window. The snow from your car’s roof can do the same thing to the car traveling behind you.

Another element of winter car care that often gets missed is tires. If you live in a snowy area, you should probably get snow tires to be used during the winter. If you get snow tires that are on their own rims, it makes storing and switching them that much easier.

Finally, keep your fluids full during the winter. Keeping your gas tank full will make it so there’s less condensation in your gas line, thereby helping to prevent freezing. It’s also important to make sure your antifreeze, wiper fluid, steering fluid, brake fluid, transmission fluid and oil are all full, as well.

Jeep Dealership looks at the 2008 Jeep Compass

Monday, November 17th, 2008

One of the best values you can find at your Jeep dealer near Denville is the 2008 Jeep Compass. Its low price, small size, plenty of headroom and its steering that’s very responsive offers you some of the best of the Jeep world.

The Jeep Compass is Jeep’s small car-based crossover SUV. It was introduced in 2007, and in many ways is different from Jeeps that have come before. The Compass isn’t trail rated, for example. What that means is, essentially, that Jeep doesn’t make any guarantees about the Compass doing well in rough off-road situations.

The Jeep Compass may not shine on the trail, but it does shine on the street. The Compass is an easy-going vehicle. It’s a Jeep that handles like a car, which makes it much easier to use in an urban setting than many other jeeps. The Compass comes optionally with a 4WD system, which does give it some off road potential. However, the “Freedom Drive” as it is known is designed for use during inclement weather conditions, rather than on the trail.

The 2008 model of the Jeep Compass features air conditioning and chrome accents as standard. It features a limited lifetime powertrain warranty, as well as changes to the powertrain that make the ride more smooth and quiet.
