Hyundai Dealership Applauds PA’s Commitment to Environment

Wednesday, January 7th, 2009

Your Hyundai dealership wants to give kudos to the officials in the state of Pennsylvania for joining 10 other eastern states in an effort to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

“This partnership will work closely on a standard for the entire region,” said Governor Ed Rendell earlier this week when he announced the state’s agreement to participate in the program. “In conjunction with Pennsylvania’s energy policies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and increase clean energy development, this work done by this partnership will ultimately grow our economy and protect our planet by fostering a cleaner environment.”

The partnership is hoping to develop a “regional low carbon fuel standard” that will encourage residents to choose more eco-friendly methods of transportation, including hydrogen fueled cars, plug-in hybrids and cars fueled by biodiesel and ethanol. The idea of a regional low carbon fuel standard began in June of 2008 when Governor Deval Patrick of Massachusetts sent a letter inviting other governors in the region to cooperate.

The other states participating in the program include New Hampshire, Connecticut, Maine, Delaware, Massachusetts, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Vermont and Rhode Island.

You can help the region achieve this goal by visiting your East Brunswick area Hyundai dealer and purchasing a fuel-efficient vehicle. With the number of choices, you’ll be sure to find something you like as well as something that’s great for the environment, too!

Keep the Receipt from Your Hyundai Dealership

Monday, January 5th, 2009

Did you know that when you purchase or lease a new car from your local Hyundai dealership, you may be able to return it if you have trouble making the payments?

In an effort to make consumers more comfortable with their purchase and make a contribution to helping the economic crisis, your Hyundai dealer will have an “out” for you in some cases. Named the “Hyundai Assurance Program,” new car buyers and leases who are “stricken by misfortune outside of their control, such as losing their job, becoming disabled or losing their drivers license for medical reasons” during the first 12 months of financing can return their Hyundai to the Hyundai dealership. As long as the buyer has made at least the first two payments, the Hyundai dealership will refund “the depreciation on the returned car up to $7,500.”

The “Hyundai Assurance Program” was launched last week and is “aimed at consumers too nervous to spring for a new car in the difficult economy.” Doesn’t this make you feel more comfortable about visiting your East Brunswick area Hyundai dealer and plunking some money down for a great new car? You won’t find a program like this with any other automaker today.

New Jersey Dealership Looks at the 2009 Hyundai Genesis

Friday, November 28th, 2008

The Hyundai Genesis is a brand new type of vehicle, and the first true luxury vehicle that you’re likely to see at your Hyundai dealer near Springfield. At first glance, you aren’t even sure it’s a Hyundai; the famed Hyundai badge doesn’t appear on the front, on the doors, or even on the fenders. You can only find one Hyundai logo – on the lid of the trunk.

You’ll also find the vehicle’s name there, too: The Hyundai Genesis.

The Genesis is Hyundai’s foray into the luxury market. Hyundai has come through with flying colors. If it weren’t for those lone badges on the back of the car, you’d swear you were looking at Mercedes from the front or a Lexus from the side.

The ride, well, you’ll have to judge for yourself. The 2009 Hyundai genesis rides very smooth, and handles like a luxury vehicle. It’s available with a V6 at 290 horsepower, or a V8 at 368 horsepower. AT half the price of a comparable Mercedes, the Genesis is worth a look.

The Genesis comes with plenty of standard equipment, as is befitting a luxury model. You can add just about anything else you’d like to see, too, giving the Genesis every bell and whistle you can think of.

New Jersey Dealership Looking Forward to Santa Fe Blue Hybrid

Friday, November 21st, 2008

Your Springfield-area Hyundai dealer is excited about the Santa Fe Blue Hybrid. At the Paris Auto Show this year, Hyundai released the Hyundai Santa Fe Blue Hybrid concept car. This car shows Hyundai’s ability and commitment to reduce car emissions and increase fuel efficiency.

The “Blue Hybrid” moniker indicates that the vehicle is part of Hyundai’s fuel efficiency initiative. Hyundai has chosen to use the color “Blue” rather than “Green” to represent its fuel efficiency initiatives.

The vehicle will be the same as the regular Santa Fe in terms of its design. It’s the engine that will see the biggest changes for this model. It will use a parallel hybrid drive that combines an electric motor with the already-economical 2.4 liter Theta engine. It is expected that this parallel hybrid drive will be the basis of the future hybrid vehicles that Hyundai develops.

The good news is that performance in the Santa Fe Blue Hybrid isn’t compromised in order to achieve fuel economy. It is expected that the vehicle will achieve a similar top speed, as well as a similar 0 to 60 speed, as the non-hybrid version of the Santa Fe.

The Santa Fe Blue Hybrid is just one example of Hyundai’s commitment to a cleaner and more fuel efficient future.

No longer the punch-line to a joke about cheap cars, Hyundai has proven itself for many years that it can provide reliable vehicles at an affordable price. In fact, Hyundai is often considered the true pinnacle of value-priced automotive quality.

The Hyundai Genesis is the first foray that Hyundai has made into the luxury market. The Genesis holds its own against the other premium sedans on the market, from Cadillac to Lexus to Infiniti. The Genesis gives you everything you might want from a luxury vehicle without having to break the bank.

The 2009 Hyundai Genesis is available in two trim levels. The 3.8 and 4.6 are named for their particular engines. The former is a V6 that produces 290 horsepower, while the latter is a V8 that gives you 375 horsepower.

Both trim levels have plenty of opulence. You’ll find dual zone climate controls, leather upholstery, a high-powered sound system with iPod and satellite radio interfaces, and heated front seats. The 4.6 offers you the same features plus 18 inch wheels, an even more impressive stereo system, chrome exterior accents and premium leather trim. For either, you can add xenon headlights, Bluetooth connection as well as a navigation system that includes real-time traffic info.

Get Side Air Bags at New Jersey Dealership

Friday, November 14th, 2008

Your Springfield area Hyundai dealer knows that you’re concerned about safety. One of the more useful safety improvements made in the automotive world in the last few years is the advent and increasing popularity of side air bags. Side air bags protect the head, chest or both when an adult is in an accident.

There are three kinds of side air bags. There are side air bags for the chest, ones for the head and combination side air bags that protect both. Head side air bags may be either “curtain” or “tubular.” Curtain side air bags usually protect the rear as well as the front occupants when there is a crash from the side. They also help to keep occupants from being ejected after a rollover.

Side airbags can inflate and deploy in just a fraction of a second. There are sensors within the vehicle that let the vehicle know if it’s been hit from the side. Side air bags differ from frontal air bags in that they can stay inflated for a while during the process of a crash.

Some vehicles have both frontal and side air bags. Since 1998, frontal air bags have been required in cars. Vans, pickups and SUVs were required to have them in 1999 and going forward.

If you want the maximum possible protection in the event of a side crash, consider buying a new car with side air bags.

Hyundai Dealership Talks Tire Aging

Wednesday, November 12th, 2008

The Hyundai dealer near East Brunswick cares about your tire safety. That’s why you need to take some time to think about the aging of your tires.

Even if you don’t drive that many miles in a given year, the structure of your tires is eventually going to degrade. When this happens, your tires are much more likely to go flat, blow out, or even cause a crash. For this reason, you need to be aware of your tires’ age.

There are a number of factors that go into the aging of tires. For example, heat and sunlight both accelerate the age of your tires. In fact, it is the heat from the road that, over time, causes tires to break down the most. In addition, tires tend to degrade faster in warmer climates, or if they’re not stored properly.

Interestingly enough, the aging of tires isn’t much of a concern for vehicles that experience a lot of driving. Those tires are going to need to be replaced long before the aging of the tires is an issue. It’s tires that are only used occasionally that have to worry about aging.

There are several situations in which you might find a tire that is at risk of aging problems. For example, the tires on an RV or a collector’s car might be at risk. Spare tires are also at risk, as they don’t get used very often.

Even if a tire has plenty of tread, it may still be well past its age. Generally speaking, you should have your tires checked regularly to look at their structural integrity in order to avoid problems of aging.

Hyundai Dealer Considers Child Safety Seats

Monday, November 10th, 2008

At your local Hyundai dealer near Sommerville, we know that nothing is more important to you than your child’s safety. That’s one of the reasons you drive responsibly, and one of the reasons you take so much care learning how to raise your child. It’s also the reason you should be careful about how you pick a car seat for your child.

Here are some tips for choosing a safety seat for your child:

  • Car seats vary based on the child’s age. The type of seat that is appropriate for a newborn isn’t the same type that’s designed for a toddler. Make sure you know the difference.
  • You also need to choose a car seat that fits into your vehicle and that you can correctly install. That way, you can be sure it’s used properly.
  • Price doesn’t always tell you what you need to know. An inexpensive car seat can be just as safe as an expensive one.
  • If you’re buying a used car seat, know its history. If it is more than a few years old, you shouldn’t use it. Also, you want to know for certain what the manufacturer’s model number and date are so you can check to see if there has been a recall.
  • Finally, don’t use a car seat that’s been in an accident. Even if there’s no visible damage, the integrity of the seat’s structure may have been compromised and present a safety hazard.

Hyundai Dealership Takes You Behind The Scenes

Wednesday, November 5th, 2008

Your East Brunswick area Hyundai dealer knows the effect that higher gas prices over the summer and the recent economic woes have had on the auto industry. Fewer and fewer SUVs and trucks are being sold, and smaller cars seem to be increasing.

Recently, the Hyundai Manufacturing plant in Alabama changed the ratio of the vehicles it has been making. The plant makes both the midsize crossover SUV, the Hyundai Santa Fe, as well as the midsize sedan, the Sonata. Last month, more than 70% of the vehicles produced at this plant were Sonatas, which is a significant increase.

The Hyundai Santa Fe offers the functionality and the capacity of an SUV with a sportier quality of ride and handling. The Santa Fe features a contemporary look, as well as an upscale interior, and is one of the best vehicles in the midsize crossover SUV range.

The Sonata, on the other hand, is a comfortable midsize sedan. It features plenty of headroom, a rear seat with plenty of space, and interesting styling elements such as the two-tone dashboard and the various trim pieces in metallic shades. The Sonata is also much more economical in terms of cost, and is less expensive than other vehicles in its class.
